About Toyin Alabi

Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi is a purpose-driven leader, businessman, philanthropist, and mentor committed to institution building and sustainable human capital development.

He is the Founder and Chief Executive of The Promise (Fast Food, Restaurants and Industrial Catering), a leading indigenous brand known for operational excellence, workforce development, and value-driven enterprise. Through The Promise and its several corporate social responsibility initiatives, Dr. Alabi has empowered thousands of young entrepreneurs, sponsored hundreds of students, and made sustained investments in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation across communities.

From 2019 – 2025, Dr. Alabi served as President General of the Igbaja Progressive Union National Executive Council (IPUNEC). His tenure was marked by restored unity, strengthened social infrastructure, improved stakeholder engagement, and the strategic repositioning of Igbaja as a model for grassroots development in Nigeria.

His leadership excellence has earned him numerous national and international recognitions, including the United States International Excellent Leadership Merit Award, Niger Delta Youth Vanguard Grand Icon Honour, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti Distinguished Entrepreneur Award, an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry from ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja, 50 Most Influential People in Rivers State, amongst many others.

Dr. Alabi is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Trainer, and a Fellow of respected professional bodies, including the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria.

Driven by a clear and people-centred vision, Dr. Alabi’s passion for Kwara State is anchored on transparent governance, youth empowerment, economic expansion, and inclusive development. His mission is to build institutions that work, empower credible leaders, expand opportunities for young people, stimulate private sector-led growth, and position Kwara as a model of integrity, productivity, and shared prosperity in Nigeria.

Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi is happily married to Rev. (Mrs.) Rebecca Ezinne Alabi, and their union is blessed with four children — Olatunde, Abiodun, Kolade, and Ayomide.
